About the Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee and strengthen our internal financial operations. This is a full-time position for a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional with a strong background in corporate and tax accounting. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably including public accounting firm experience, and is familiar with Canadian tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee full-cycle accounting processes including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate entries
Prepare and analyze financial statements and internal reports
Handle tax filings (GST/HST, corporate tax) and liaise with external accountants and auditors as needed
Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation and internal policies
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
Maintain accurate records and ensure financial data integrity
Supervise or support junior accounting staff, as required

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including experience in full-cycle accounting
Public accounting firm experience is strongly preferred
Solid understanding of Canadian tax regulations and compliance requirements
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, bilingual environment
Excellent communication skills; fluency in English and Chinese is preferred
