Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting and financial operations across Kayver entities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll and tax-related processes, and assisting with internal and external reporting.
This position is ideal for an early-career accounting professional who is organized, compliance-minded, and interested in building long-term experience within a multi-entity professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
• Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain accurate and well-organized accounting records
• Assist with month-end closing and internal financial summaries
Payroll & Internal Financial Support
• Support payroll preparation, remittance and reconciliation
• Maintain employee and client payment records
• Assist with WSIB registration, reporting and remittance
• Assist with year-end payroll reporting (T4, T4A)
Tax & Compliance Support
• Assist with HST tracking, reconciliation, and filings
• Prepare documentation for external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors
• Support internal financial controls and compliance procedures
Coordination & Process Improvement
• Coordinate with operations teams to track invoices, expenses, and payments
• Assist with improving accounting workflows and documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an Accounting, Finance, or related program
• Basic understanding of Canadian accounting principles
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Wave, or similar) is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Willingness to learn and follow structured processes
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Reliable, methodical, and detail-focused
• Comfortable working with numbers and structured data
• Takes ownership of tasks and meets deadlines
• Interested in building long-term accounting and finance experience
